Q-Point Apparels Limited will set up a Garments Manufacturing Industry in the Ishwardi Export Processing Zone. The 100 per cent local company will invest $7.33 million in setting up their unit and will produce garments items.

The company will also create employment opportunity for 2,252 persons including seven foreign nationals, said a press release. To this effect, an agreement was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones authority and Q-Point Apparels Limited in BEPZA Complex on July 19, 2010. Md Moyjuddin Ahmed, member (investment promotion) of BEPZA, and Md Shahidul Islam, managing director of Q-Point Apparels Limited, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. BEPZA executive chairman Brig General Jamil Ahmed Khan, among others, was present on the occasion.
