29th January 2017, an internship allowance and certificate giving ceremony held at the conference room of BGMEA University of Fashion & technology (BUFT). The total intern students were eleven (11) from undergraduate (B.Sc in TE) and two (02) from post-graduate (MBA), respectively. The sum of USD 200 (Two hundred dollars) was received by each intern student for the round two months. Mr. Muzaffar U. Siddique, Founder Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), handed over the certificates and cheques to the students. Dr. Mohammad Abbas Uddin, the Principal Engineering Consultant from Reed Consulting Bangladesh Ltd. was also present during the program. The internship was conducted in a renowned organization Texeurop (BD) Ltd., a 100% export oriented knit composite industry.
In this concern an MoU already been signed between BUFT and Omnibrand Ltd. under the supervision of Reed Consulting (Bangladesh) Ltd. The agreement is aimed to develop the academic and practical knowledge to the faculty members and students of BUFT through workshops, seminars and internship. Three workshops also have been designed and scheduled to organize under this project, co-sponsoring by both.
In the ceremony among others Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of BUFT and Setara Begum, Assistant Professor, Department of Textile Engineering, BUFT were present.
