The newly-elected office bearers of The Institution of Textile Engineers & Technologists (ITET) Bangladesh have received charges from the outgoing committee on 10th July 2017 through a Handover & Takeover Ceremony at the Spectra Convention Centre in Dhaka. ITET outgoing President (13th council) Engr. Md. Shamsuzzaman, handed over the charge to new ITET president (14th council) Engr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman.

UGC Chairman Prof. Abdul Mannan was present as chief guest where Prof. Engr. Mashud Ahmed, Vice Chancellor , Bangladesh University of Textiles was present as Special Guest on the Handover & Takeover Ceremony of ITET Central Council (14th Council).
Speakers of the ceremony expressed their hope to the present committee of ITET that they would play a great role enhancing country’s economy by ensuring complete including in BCS cadres for textile engineers, building own office for ITET and evaluating local textile engineers in Ready Made Garment industry etc.
Earlier, on 16 June 2017, 27 freshly elected Executive Committee (EC) members of 14th Council of the full panel has been elected uncontested.
The Institution of Textile Engineers & Technologists (ITET), Bangladesh is now a seventeen year old organization having more than 3000 members working in many pivotal positions in the sector and leading it towards its continuous growth.
