To know more about digital printing Bangladesh Textile Today have met Mr. Fabio Gromo, Area Manager
of Reggiani Macchine S.p.A.  The Italy-based Reggiani company is designing engineering and developing industrial digital printing machines for 11 years and now their new series of ReNOIR is available on width 180, 240 and 340cm; also the new ReNOIR COMPACT on width 180cm is now available.

The  ReNOIR  is  equipped  with  8  or  16  print  heads  and  8  or  4x2  colors.  The  printing  modes  are  at automatic variable-dot system and one-way or two-way printing run at one pass (600dpi) or two passes (1200dpi)  or  four  passes  (2400dpi).  In  the  best  configuration  with  16  print  heads  and  8  colors  the ReNOIR180 can print up to nearly 600sqm per hour at 600dpi in 1-pass only. If the colors are only 4 the production goes over 1000sqm per hour.

Reggiani  claims that  they  h a v e   already  sold  nearly 70  units  of  ReNOIR  world-wide  (from  Europe  to
Turkey,  to  Brasil,  India and  China),  whose  60  units  for  apparel and  garment  and  8  units  are  on  w i d e width 340cm  for  home textile purpose.  Total 16  ReNOIR printing  machines  have  been  sold  since the  ITMA Barcelona 2011 until now.

Mr. Rowienski, M.D. of the German KBC Co. - the largest Reggiani customer with 14 ReNOIR180 -,  said:  “We  have  total  confidence  in  the  Reggiani  digital  technology because we have never been disappointed and it is not excessive to say that Reggiani is the right selected partner for the digital future, and not only.”

As  per  the Company’s  current  release,  Reggiani  Macchine Group,  after  incorporating  the  world  famous brand-companies Mezzera and Jaeggli-Meccanotessile, is the second largest Industrial Group in the world for all kind of preparation, dyeing, printing and finishing machines, supporting customers with experience and know-how.

BTT: Your digital printing machine for all over printing is renowned, how do you see its prospect here in
    Bangladesh?

Mr. Fabio Gromo:  As  one  of  the  largest  garment  and  textile  manufacturing  country,  Bangladesh  has  great potential for our digital printing machines. Though still most of the Bangladeshi companies feel better in conventional technology but definitely they can start thinking for digital printing technologies also.

BTT: Do you provide all supports regarding printing inks to be used in your machine?

Mr. Fabio Gromo: Yes,  we  are under  strategic  partnership  with  Huntsman, Dupont (and others) to  develop  colors  for  our  machine. There are 8 basic colors to produce enormous number of combinations.

BTT: Are the heads refillable and how is the longevity?

Mr. Fabio Gromo: The  heads are  automatically controlled  and  easily refillable,  If the machine  is  kept in  ideal condition, that means printing room humidity, temperature, cleanness are proper, then the heads can work for long time. We have our first machines working even for around 10 years without any major problem.

BTT: Can you mention few breakthrough advantages of digital printing:

Mr. Fabio Gromo: Alongside  design  flexibility and zero-time-to-market,  you  need  one  fourth of  space,  there  will be  no  impact  on  the environment and you can use its ‘CE green-label’ to get your ‘textile white-label.
