“Management expansion is an important strategic business decision many companies face periodically. It is required for any kind of industries for business growth. We are doing expansion only in terms of order and volume, but we are not thinking about expansion of management to make a team”, said Engr. Abdus Sobhan, Managing Director of Oeko-Tex Limited, at a seminar titled ‘partner’s evening of Universal Yarn Dyeing Ltd.’ in the city on August 21.
Mr. Sobhan said, “I think many factors of production unit. When we do a costing, we always depend on our merchandisers and employees, so there is a gap. We are hiring some marketing people from some renowned companies, and then going to Thailand, Hong-Kong to get a volume of order. So, our problem is we don’t check and justify the order.”
“I think a central pricing policy is necessary for RMG sector from BGMEA and BKMEA trade body. As an entrepreneur, I hope to build up a Textile Engineer Entrepreneur forum for leading RMG sector”, he added.
On the event, Honorable Chief Guest Engr. Md. Shamsuzzaman CIP, former President of ITET, Director BKMEA, Managing Director, Micro Fibre Group, said, sharing his experience in RMG sector, “We need to design and develop dyeing process to use CVC fabric, DOP dyeing, Cots sewing thread to reduce cost. China developed DOP dyeing process. As an entrepreneur, we need to help small entrepreneurs to develop their business.”
Engr. Shafiqur Rahman, President of ITET, emphasized on bringing up some Textile Engineer Entrepreneurs for their contribution of RMG sector. He suggested more textile engineer should come out for Textile Journalism and Entrepreneurship. “We will go to manmade fiber from cotton to sustain our RMG sector”, he added. Mr. Rahman requested all to work together to make Bangladesh a middle-income country by 2021.
Engr. A.L.M Ziaul Hoque, Managing Director of Universal Yarn Dyeing Ltd, said, “We want to develop a long term partnership with our client by being the most reliable in the market. We should make a Textile Engineers’ Entrepreneurs Community for leadership in Textile Sector.”
S.M Zubair Bin Zia Rupab, Director (operations) of Universal yarn Dyeing Ltd, showed a presentation about their company where he said the company was established in 2014 and now it has seven sister concerns. It has production capacity of 8 tons per day. They can dye all kinds of cotton, viscose, poly cotton, CVC, Polyester, all kinds of sewing Thread. This Company will produce best quality dyed yarn utilizing the newest technology and modern management system. The company’s plan by 2021 is to start green project.
