The 13th edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo started today (15 November) at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital with an aim to showcase the country’s progress and new innovations in denim industry as well as attract new buyers.

The Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE) is organizing the two-day long expo as part of the ongoing Made in Bangladesh Week-2022, which is organized by the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) in partnership with BAE.
Along with contributing to the country’s economic growth, the expo is promoting sustainability, transparency, innovation, circularity, and responsibility in Bangladesh’s denim Industry, said the organisers of the event.

Mustafiz Uddin, founder and CEO of BAE said, “We are amazed by the huge response we have gotten from the visitors and exhibitors around the world that has helped us create a platform for collaboration, branding, and networking.”
In 2014, the Bangladesh Denim Expo, first organised and played a vital role in the country’s journey to become the leading denim exporter both in the EU and the USA.

Regarding this Mustafiz said, “With the involvement of over 1,000 companies, more than 500 exhibitors, and over 50,000 visitors from more than 50 countries during its long journey, Bangladesh Denim Expo has become one of the most exclusive and insightful branding events in the denim industry.”
At the same time, over 30 panel discussions, more than 50 workshops and seminars have been organised, also 35 local and 50 foreign companies are participating in the expo as exhibitors.
