The ‘19th Dhaka International Fabric Show 2023’ kicks off

The ’19th Dhaka International Fabric Show 2023′ was inaugurated at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) on March 1 afternoon. Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi inaugurated the exhibition.

In the inauguration ceremony, Golam Dastagir Gazi said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the main sponsor of the development of the textile sector and textile industry of Bangladesh. Under her direct guidance and inspiration, the desired development and growth took place in the textile sector.

He said that during the corona epidemic, the prime minister announced financial incentives among all traders including the textile sector. She also made a bold decision to keep industrial establishments open in compliance with health regulations. As a result, the country’s growth trend continues even during the severe economic recession around the world.

The textile and jute minister said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is moving towards building an industrialized and developed ‘Sonar Bangla’ by uniting the nation to realize the dream of the father of the nation. For this purpose, she is making continuous efforts to take Bangladesh to the desired destination of prosperity by announcing the vision.

Keeping in mind the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution, the Minister of Textiles and Jute laid emphasis on repeatedly organizing such exhibitions with the aim of producing new products, processing, diversifying products, and expanding the export market.

The 19th Dhaka International Fabric Show 2023 is organized by CEMS-Global USA and China Textile Industry Sub-Council (China Council) for the promotion of international trade and will continue till March 4. More than 500 booths, and more than 370 companies from 12 countries will be represented in this exhibition. The exhibition will act as a one-stop platform to showcase the latest and new technologies in the fabric industry.

Song Yang, Commercial Councilor of China appointed in Dhaka; Md. Shahidul Azim, Vice-President BGMEA; Mohammad Hatim, Executive President of BKMEA and others were present in the inauguration ceremony.
