2016 versions of Textech, Yarn and Fabric Show and Dye+Chem Expo create a buzz in the textile & apparel industry

A grand gathering of textile and apparel industry has been seen in “17th Textech Bangladesh International Expo 2016” along with another two concurrent show “10th Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show 2016” and “25th Dye+Chem Bangladesh Expo 2016’  at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) premises in Dhaka from 31st August to 3rd September, 2016. Conference and Exhibition Management Services Ltd (CMES) Global and host country partner CEMS Bangladesh jointly organized the four-day long international show for the textile & garment industry of Bangladesh which many recognize as a one-stop single platform to showcase from home & abroad the latest developments & emerging technology for the textile & garment industry.



Nearly 1050 companies with 1250 booths from over 23 countries were participating in these Exhibitions. These 3 exhibitions in one go targeted to the entire business community and has played an important role by assembling worldwide technology, machinery and material manufacturers at the doorsteps of the manufacturers of Bangladesh under one umbrella to evaluate them of the latest developments and technology available facilitating Bangladesh to further compete in the World market, appealed the organizers.

Amir Hossain Amu, M.P, Minister, Ministry of Industries inaugurated the expo as chief guest. State Minister, Ministry of Textiles and Jute Mirza Azam, M.P., Deputy High Commissioner of High Commission of India Dr. Adarsh Swaika, First Vice President of The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin), Md. Siddiqur Rahman, President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA), and A.H Aslam Sunny, First Vice President, Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BKMEA) were present as special guests at the inauguration ceremony.



“Despite international conspiracy against our RMG industries, this sector is maintaining steady growth and currently Bangladesh has immerged as the largest exporter of garment in South & South-East Asia. This Sector will continue to grow amidst all these setbacks because of the efforts of our innovative entrepreneurs and appropriate policy support from the government”. Chief guest Industry Minister, Mr. Hossain said in his speech. “At present we are working on celebrating the Golden Jubilee of the independence of Bangladesh with the target of earning USD 50 billion from the apparel sector by the year 2021. In order to attain this goal, we are working towards establishing hi-tech factories with the latest technologies and equipment” he added.



Exhibitors from 23 countries, including Bangladesh, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and USA, took part in these exhibitions with their latest machinery, chemicals and dyes, accessories, yarn and fabric.



17th Textech Bangladesh International Expo 2016 showcased machinery and equipment for textile and accessories industry.



10th Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show 2016 was covering the largest are of the exhibition hall. The area showcased all kinds of cotton and synthetic fabrics (Woven / Knit), denim, knitted fabrics, fleece, yarn & fibre, fancy finishing, home textiles, coated artificial fur, artificial leather, embroidery, grey cloth etc. In the Accessories area the exhibition showcased hangers, labeling systems and labels, zipper, button, snap fastener, transfer press, shoulder padding, interlining, weaving ribbon support services etc.



25th Dye+Chem Bangladesh Expo 2016 was one of the biggest meeting places for buyers and suppliers of dyes & chemicals. It also provided an interactive platform for exhibitors to generate business through displays and direct interaction & enhance the synergy effect and attract top level professionals from the Industry thus improving technology, focus and visitors of the expo.



In the current context of Bangladesh such exhibition was very important for Bangladesh textile & apparel industry. When foreigners are taking caution in visiting Bangladesh after Gulshan Restaurant terror attack in Dhaka, it was a major international gathering in the town. CEMS Global was quite aware of the exhibitor’s & visitor’s security and took all necessary steps to make sure the exhibition ground a safe zone.
