4 concurrent events ended in high spirits

The 19th edition of Garmentech, 11th GAP Expo, 11th International Yarn & Fabrics Sourcing Fair and PackTech Bangladesh (packaging show) concluded in high spirits. Spread over 9 halls, the events witnessed 450 exhibitors from across the country and noticed good visitation at International Convention Center, Bashundhara (ICCB).

A wide array of products was showcased including the entire range of technology covering all segments of garment manufacturing as well as trims. Many leading industry players exhibited the best of their offerings.

Visitors including the textile and apparel industry people seen participating in the events with vigor despite all the existing and upcoming challenges. Many garment exporters who visited the shows told Textile Today that price pressure is very much there, so they are trying to improve where ever they can. Besides emphasizing on automation to achieve this, they stated that they are also focusing on reducing the number of helpers.

As far as technology is concerned, the most talked-about exhibitor this time has been IMB, a Chinese jeans/trouser/shirts automats’ provider. IMB is aggressively trying to promote its machines in the market while a lot of other sewing tech providers are keeping an eye on IMB and its strategies. Jack Group has come up with its Jack Sewing machines and MAICA shirt automats.
