91 deceased RMG workers’ families get govt. aid

91 Readymade garment (RMG) industry workers families who died on work received TK 18.02 million aid from the Labor and Employment Ministry.

All the deceased workers were working in the garment sector under the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA)

Recently, State Minister for Labor and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian handed over the donation to BGMEA representatives at the ministry.

Another Tk 2.5 million was also provided to BGMEA, for the payment of arrears by a factory forced to close down. The cash came from the crisis fund of the ministry.
