An academic collaboration among BUFT, Reed Consulting (Bangladesh) Ltd and Omnibrand Ltd

Omnibrand Ltd handed over internship allowance and certificates to the 10 interns for their successful completion of an internship at South China Bleaching & Dyeing Factory Ltd.

An event was organized on 14 August 2018 to hand over the internship allowance and certificates to the interns (10 students) who recently successfully have completed their internship. The event was organized by the Department of Textile Engineering of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) in collaboration with Reed Consulting (Bangladesh) Ltd and Omnibrand Ltd.

The internship was placed in a renowned organization South China Bleaching & Dyeing Factory Ltd. located at EPZ, Dhaka, Bangladesh, which is a 100% export oriented woven fabric bleaching and dyeing factory.

The event was organized as a part of the MoU activities already signed between BUFT and Omnibrand Ltd. under the supervision of “Reed Consulting (Bangladesh) Ltd.”. The agreement was aimed to develop the academic and practical knowledge to the faculty members and students of BUFT through workshops, seminars and internship.

The interns continued their internship at the factory for a total duration of two (02) months started from 15 February to 17 April 2018. A cheque as sum of USD 200 was also provided to each intern as an internship allowance for his/her successful completion of internship and was funded by Omnibrand Ltd.

Prof. Dr. Nizamuddin Ahmed, honorable Vice Chancellor of BUFT; Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of BUFT; Prof. Dr. Engr. Abu Bakr Siddique, Dean, FTE, BUFT and Mr. Sumon Rozario, the representative from Omnibrand were handed over the certificates and cheques to the interns.

Ms. Setara Begum, Assistant Professor, Department of Textile Engineering, BUFT was also honored with a certificate in the event for the successful coordination of the project on behalf of BUFT.
