Advance technologies to solve basic problems of BD RMG industry (part-ii)

Most of the RMG factories are producing low value added products though demands of high value added garments, fancy items, functional products are rising rapidly. We need to boost our strength in new product design, marketing, communication and presentation, as till now our competitors comparatively better in these parameters.

In previous part (Advance technologies to solve basic problems of BD RMG industry (Part-i) I discussed some essential technologies which can assist us to solve our basic problem remaining on communication, presentation, marketing, wastages, efficiency, productivity, accuracy, new product design and integrity. Here some more technologies have been described:

Work-study is a generic term for those techniques, particularly method study and work measurement, which are used in all its context and which lead systematically to the investigation of all the factors, which affect the efficiency and economy of the situation being reviewed effect improvement.

The main objective of work-study is to improve the productivity of men, machines and materials. The work-study aims to determine the best method of performing each operation and to eliminate wastage so that production increases with less fatigue.

The work-study is also used in determining the standard time that a qualified worker should take to operate when working at a normal place.

(1) It is direct means of improving productivity.

(2) It results in uniform and improved production flow.

(3) It reduces the manufacturing cost.

(4) Most accurate method and yet provides a sound basis for production planning, control and incentives for manpower.

Cloud storage uses data centers with massive computer servers that physically store the data and make it available online to users via the web. Users can remotely upload their content, store them and retrieve the data as and when required. Let’s take a look at the advantages of incorporating Cloud Manufacturing in our plant:

Lower costs: Working in the cloud substantially lowers the cost of hardware and software as it removes the necessity of investing in IT infrastructures, costly in itself, not only because of the technology but also the resources associated with the installations, the maintenance, energy or technical staff, not to mention problems caused by downtime and breaks in activity. Servers and licenses are in Cloud as a subscription model, where they are hired per use.

Scalability: This payment per use is ideal for companies with increasing or fluctuating bandwidth requirements. Data: All data is sent to Cloud, where it is processed and stored. Safety: Increasing safety, a topic that is critical for the user, the data stored in Cloud Manufacturing is encrypted and there are automatic backup systems that allow backup copies to be obtained regularly. Equally, it can be accessed regardless of what happens with the machines.

Mobility: Given that all you need is connectivity, you can work from anywhere, regardless of the device from which you want to access the system. You are no longer tied down to a physical space to work with the information.

Better collaboration: Be it employee, supplier, or client, the data is shared. You can work with it at any time and from any place, which streamlines production making it more efficient. The Cloud-based workflow and applications for sharing files help to perform updates in real-time, granting processes full visibility.
