AIUB and USB Certification signed an MoU to open a textile and fabric testing laboratory

The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and USB CERTIFICATION, Türkiye, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on August 13, 2022.

They have signed the MoU to establish a textile and fabric testing laboratory at the AIUB campus. Also, AIUB and USB Certification will create cooperative activities such as collaborative research and development initiatives in different sectors.

Additionally, USB Certification will open the laboratories’ doors to the university’s students, contribute to the capacity development of Bangladesh engineers and technical staff, and transfer their experiences to the people of Bangladesh.

On the other hand, it is aimed to establish laboratories in the fields of electricity, electronics, mechanics, food, and agriculture.

Nesrin Serin, the Founder and General Manager of USB Certification and Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan, the Honorable Chairman of the AIUB Board of Trustees signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. The honorable Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna; Pius Costa, Registrar; Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman; Associate Dean, FE & Director, Dr. Anwarul Abedin Institute of Innovation; Chowdhury Akram Hossain, Associate Professor, FE & Deputy Director and Anwarul Abedin Institute of Innovation of AIUB were present at the ceremony.

And, Ali Ertuğrul, Technical Manager; Hasnat Kabir, Bangladesh-Country Manager; Mokarrom Alahe, Human Resources, and Administrative Affairs Responsible, and Thouhid Khan Rocky, Trainee Auditor of USB Certification Bangladesh were also present.
