The day-long annual outing event of the Textile Engineering Alumni Association (TEAA) of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) was held in Gazipur on 3 February, 2023.
The occasion brought together former and current students of the university from different batches of the textile engineering department and renewed the strong bond among the members.
From the Executive Committee of TEAA, Engr. Md. Mirazur Rahman MBSTU, President; Engr. Amit Sarker, General Secretary; Engr. Md. Abu Jamir Alo, Vice-President; Engr. Md. Sharifur Rahman Rakesh, Organizing Secretary and other members attended the picnic.
On behalf of the Textile Engineering department teachers, the event was attended by Associate Prof. Md. Abu Bakar Siddique, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Mamun, and Prof. Dr. Md. Mahbubul Bashar were present at the picnic. The event cooperates partners were Tubingen, Transfar Chemicals, Nexagen, Biosphere Concern, Key Chem Pvt. Ltd., Color Concern and Tanisha Trading.
The annual outing event was a fun-filled day with a variety of activities, including sports such as football and cricket, a swimming pool fest, Ludu king and tower making.
Bangladesh Textile Today was the media partner for the event. In addition to the recreational activities, there was also a career discussion where former students from different professional backgrounds shared their job experiences and provided suggestions for juniors.
The event also featured a band concert by MBMC, one of the reputed bands from MBSTU – followed by a cultural show, a raffle draw and a prize-giving ceremony.
