Universal Jeans Limited receives the best exporter in FY 19-20
Recently, the government selected 71 exporters of the country for the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy based on the maximum foreign currency earner of the country in the financial year 2019-20. And not surprisingly, the readymade garment (RMG) and textile factories claimed a major share of the total list of 71 exporters. According to the circular of the Ministry of Commerce (Export-4 Branch) – Universal Jeans Limited of Chittagong, a 100% Bangladeshi-owned ‘C’ category garment company has been awarded the best exporter among them produces knitted and crocheted products under the garment category.

Meanwhile, Rifat Garments Ltd. received the gold trophy in the woven-made garments category, Snowtex Outwear received the silver and Tarasima Apparels Ltd. received the bronze.
In the readymade knitwear products category, GMS Composite Knitting Industries Ltd. and Pioneer Knitwears (BD) Ltd. received the gold trophy while Square Fashions Ltd. and Bea-Con Knitwear Ltd. received the silver. While Flamingo Fashions Ltd. and Ibrahim Knit Garments (Pvt) Ltd. got the bronze trophy.
Square Textiles, Badsha Textiles Ltd., Viyellatex Spinning Limited and Shasha Denims Ltd bagged gold, silver and bronze respectively in all types of yarn products.
In the Textile Fabrics sector, Zaber & Zubair Fabrics Ltd. got gold trophy, Envoy Textiles Ltd. got silver and Ha-Meem Denim Mills Ltd. got bronze. Zaber & Zubair Fabrics Limited also won gold in home and specialty textile products while Noman Terry Towel Mills Limited is getting gold in the terry towel sector.
In the garment accessories and packaging sector, Fardin Accessories Limited and Montrims Ltd received the gold trophy, while, RM Interlinings Ltd and M&U Packaging Ltd received the solver trophy – and Packaging Industries Ltd won the bronze medal.
