Apparel HR professionals under BSAHRP hat to give knowledge momentum to the sector

Recently Bangladesh Society for Apparel HR Professionals observed its second anniversary on 29 December at hotel Sea-Shell in the capital where Bangladesh Textile Today was the media partner. More than 300 HR, admin and compliance professionals from renowned apparel industry attended the program.

Bangladesh Society for Apparel HR Professionals (BSAHRP) is a government approved registered umbrella organization and one of the active platforms for HR, admin and compliance professionals in the apparel sector. BSAHRP was established in 2015 and now there are more than 500 members in this organization. BSAHRP organizes re-union, annual get together, training, seminar, social work and discussion program etc.

In the welcome speech, M.A Hashem, BSAHRP Assistant General Secretary (HR, Admin & Compliance) and General Manager Meghna Knit Composite Ltd said, “BSAHRP is now the identity and status symbol for most of the HR, admin and compliance professionals of apparel sector. I hope BSAHRP will contribute to achieve 50 billion USD export target by 2021.”

“BSAHRP is an example of brotherhood, special tribe and harbinger of change in RMG Sector. Very soon, we will launch our website, own office and training program for BSAHRP members”, said Nur A. Khan, General Secretary, BSAHRP and Head of Factory, Laundry Industries Ltd. of Envoy Group.

Nur A. Khan also said, “Bangladesh has around 47.6 million people who are young. We, all the HR professionals may take this opportunity in order to make revolution through the apparel industry.”

BSAHRP President (HR & Admin) and Director of Palmal Group K. M. Mahtabuddin said, “Industry needs more skilled people. BSAHRP is working for human capital transformation and skill development.  He suggested BSAHRP members not to allow any compromise regarding safety and compliance issue with industry owners.

On the event, BSAHRP members expected this organization would arrange life insurance and give trainings for skill development. The BSAHRP election will be held in March 2018. Recently, BSAHRP has signing a MoU with Bangladesh Textile Today.

BSAHRP leaders informed their members that the association has signed an Memorandum of Understanding with Textile Today to work together in different scopes of human capital transformation, branding and knowledge promotion. The members appreciated the initiative and looked forward to have effective joint programs and activities those would help sustainable development of the apparel industry.

BSAHRP EC member Lt. Col. Monwarul Islam, Director(HR), Opex Group; Muhammad Ali Hossain, General Manager of SM Group; Lutfun Nahar, Head of HRD, Youth Group; Aleya Aktar (Shila), Head of HR , Viyellatex Group delivered speech at the anniversary program . The program was followed by dinner and cultural program.
