Merchandisers meet to build strong network

Bangladesh’s first Government registered and active organization, the Apparel Merchandiser Foundation of Bangladesh (AMFB) organized its members get together to build a strong network among its members on 2 December at a restaurant in Dhaka.

This event was presided over by Abdullah-Al-Mamun Chairman, AMFB. Ala Uddin Ahmed Rasel, General Secretary, AMFB conducted the meeting. While, AMFB Board of Directors, New members spoke at the event and shared their vision.

AMFB’s vision is to assist merchandisers in becoming informed, responsible, creative, and critical communicators and enhance Merchandising knowledge and skill in, the construction, interpretation and distribution of communication in diverse cultural and global communities.

The speakers said a merchandiser creates a bridge between the industry and the buyer. Merchandisers create a good relationship between exporters and buyers.

Speakers opined to build a strong relationship between AMFB members for a better apparel industry.

As per the member’s discussion, soon AMFB will launch its website and arrange an annual picnic. Besides AMFB also will work to reduce the gap between industry and academia.

AMFB is a registered organization. Since its inception, AMFB has been growing steadily keeping in pace with a leading platform of the garments and apparel fashion sector for the apparel market of Bangladesh. Thousands of merchandisers already involved them to build up a unique platform for Apparel Merchandisers only which is renowned. More than 200 apparel merchandisers gathered at the get-together program.
