A special Argentine delegation including high government officials and businessmen will visit Bangladesh at the end of this month as Argentina looks to expand its trade relations with Bangladesh.

Franco Agustin Senilliani Melchior, head of the Economic and Trade Office and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Argentina Embassy in New Delhi, meeting with the business leaders of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI).
Franco Agustin Senilliani said, “Both countries have a lot of potential to boost trade ties. There is a huge demand for minerals including lithium, olive oil, processed food, raw materials of gold, etc. Argentina could be a good option for Bangladesh for importing these products.”
As there is a huge demand for textiles in Argentina and Bangladesh can explore the market for export, he added and also invited Bangladeshi investors to explore the diversified sectors of Argentina.
Md. Amin Helaly, vice president of the FBCCI, stated that through arranging business meetings, the federation will help forge close links between the two nations.
The FBCCI Vice President has extended an invitation to Argentine businesspeople and government representatives to attend.
FBCCI Director Md Rejaul Kariem Rejnu, CIP, MGR Nasir Majumder, Bijoy Kumar Kejriwal, Hafez Harun, Dr. Nadia Binte Amin and Akkash Mahmood, Chairman at Standing Committee on Digitalization of Trade Bodies, FBCCI were present at the meeting.
The leaders of the country’s apex trade body also thanked Argentina for taking steps to open an embassy in Bangladesh.
