Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Department of Textile Engineering (DTE) hosted by AUST Textile Society. The program was inaugurated with a documentary projection showcasing the successful journey of DTE throughout the years.
“The fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) is coming and our engineers should be able to overcome that challenge,” said the honorable special guest Prof. Dr. Mustafizur Rahman (DTE, AUST).
He also discussed the current situation of dyeing chemical industries.
Special guest of the program, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rahim Mollah, Dean, Faculty of Engineering also attended the celebration and mentioned about the great contribution of the textile Industry to the national economy.
He emphasized the positive influences and greater impacts of these types of occasions for the students and inspired them to become great leaders.
The chief guest of the program, Engr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman, President, ITET encouraged the students to grow leadership by developing their soft skills and discourage migration. Chairman Prof. Dr. Lal Mohan Baral, President, AUST Textile Society and Head, DTE, AUST and Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Treasurer, AUST also attended and encouraged youth leadership and told various important matters.
A presentation on ‘Industrial Leadership’ was presented by Md. Asaduzzaman, Head of Supply chain, FCI (BD) group.
Presentation on CPB in Knit Dyeing was also presented by Engr. Badruddin Ahmed Rahi, CEO of Trade Ray and Textile Technology, Founder of SM Sourcing who is an Ex-student of DTE, AUST.
Later on, an appreciation award was given by the Department of Textile Engineering, AUST, to him for his excellent contributions and achievements in many sectors and glittering the name of DTE, AUST to the world.
After that, he shared his valuable experience and journey through his speech.
A beautiful cultural program was arranged by the running students at the end of the program.
