Bangladesh Denim Expo commences tomorrow

The eight edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo (BDE), an international exposition of denim products, is going to be organized on 09-10 May 2018 at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital. BDE usually takes place twice a year in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The exhibition is a new comprehensive showcase of the entire Denim value chain: fabric, finishes, washes, accessories.

The trade show celebrates and explores the world of Denim, it’s an exclusive event only for authorized trade visitors. Selective vendors can network, build contacts and meet others involved in the denim industry. Companies involved in sustainable solutions will also be present providing advice for protecting our people and the planet.

BDE has been organized by Mostafiz Uddin, Managing Director of Denim Expert Ltd. He said, “The main objective is to grow the development of the Denim industry globally.”

“Global leading denim business units are flocking to Bangladesh to source the best value-added items,” he said.

“My personal drive is to make a difference for my industry, but equally for my country. I want to be the agent of change who, together with my friends and colleagues in the denim world, sets a new scene for how international buyers and brands see Bangladesh in the future,” says Mostafiz.

About 61 exhibitors including Sharabati Denim, BhaskarDenim, LandesGlobal, Blue Ocean Textile Co. Ltd, Dekko Group, GKL Denim, Prosperity Textiles, and Denim Division will be present at the show. Over 14,000 visitors have pre-registered for the two-day long event, which will be running from 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM and it will be open for all.
