The Ministry of Industries has taken the initiative to award the top 42 industries in different sectors. Among them, 23 industrial establishments in 7 categories are getting Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Industrial Award. And 19 industrial establishments in 6 categories will get the President’s Industrial Development Award 2019.
Mostaq Ahmed, deputy secretary in the industry ministry, said, “From now on, the award will be given annually,”
The Ministry of Industries last week announced the names of 42 award-winning industries through two separate notifications.
In recognition of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Ministry has selected 23 organizations for the “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Industrial Award 2020” as per the ‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Industrial Award Policy’ to recognize the contribution of industrial entrepreneurs or organizations in the industrial sector, create incentives and encourage creativity.
This is the first time Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Award is being given in seven categories.
In recognition of the industrial sector’s contribution to the national economy, 19 industrial enterprises have been selected for the President’s Industrial Development Award 2019 in 6 categories for their significant contribution to the establishment of industries in the private sector, job creation and economy.
