Bangladesh and Singapore signed three memoranda of understanding (MoU) to facilitate information exchange, trade and investment opportunities and promote Singapore business interest here.
Bangladesh-Singapore Business forum jointly organized by the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and Singapore Business Federation (SBF) on 10 July ,2017 in Dhaka.
The (MoU) was signed between Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and SBF; FBCCI and SBF another one, and Bangladesh Business Chamber of Singapore (BD Cham) and FBCCI the 3rd one.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu MP was the chief guest at the forum which also addressed by SBF Chairman SS Teo, Vice-chairman Dr R Theyvendran, FBCCI Vice-president Md Muntakim Ashraf, BIDA Executive Chairman Kazi M Aminul Islam and BDCham President Mirza Golam Sabur and Bangladesh Business leaders, members of Singaporean delegation and BIDA officially participated the forum.
“We want to expand bilateral trade and business relationship with Singapore under the dynamic and visionary leadership of our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a mode of win-win situation” said Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu.
Singapore is a major business hub in the world, where roughly 150 Bangladeshi companies are operating. Many companies who are supplying important inputs for Bangladesh Textile and Garment industry have Singapore based business operations.
