Bangladesh and Sri Lanka extends collaboration in textile education

Chittagong BGMEA Institute of Fashion and Technology (CBIFT) and Sri Lanka Institute of Textile and Apparel (SLITA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for academic collaboration and affiliation between them on 14 July, 2017 in Dhaka.

The agreement was signed in presence of Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena in Dhaka.

As per the MoU, the governments of both countries shall strive to receive and accept undergraduate and graduate students to study at their higher education institutions. The governments shall progressively collaborate towards mutual recognition of academic and professional degrees, diplomas, certificates and other qualifications awarded in the two countries, within the framework of their respective legislations and regulations.
