Bangladeshi culture to be promoted through art and fashion

Nadia Samdani MBE, Co-Founder and President of the Samdani Art Foundation, and Rajeeb Samdani, Co-Founder and Trustee of the foundation, called on BGMEA President Faruque Hassan were in meeting on 13 September to find the way to promote Bangladeshi culture through art and fashion in global arena.

Chair of BGMEA Standing Committee on Foreign Mission Cell Shams Mahmud was also present on the occasion.

At the meeting, they discussed how BGMEA and Samdani Art Foundation could collaborate in supporting, promoting, and highlighting the rich culture and heritage of Bangladesh through art and fashion in the upcoming Dhaka Art Summit, which will be will be held on 3- 11 February 2023.

According to Faruque Hassan, Bangladesh has rich culture and heritage which should be promoted globally to boost the brand image of the country internationally.

BGMEA President said, “We have been working to promote local culture and heritage among the global audience by linking the culture and heritage of Bangladesh with fashion.”

At the meeting, he invited Nadia Samdani and Rajeeb Samdani to the “Made in Bangladesh Week” which will be organized by BGMEA to showcase prospects and strengths of the RMG industry.
