BASF Seminar held in Dhaka

With an ever stronger demand for environmentally friendly solutions, BASF has added yet another environmentally friendly product to its portfolio. BASF’s new eco-friendly soaping agent Dekol RSA is a universal soaping agent for cellulosic fabric, especially for soaping of reactive dyes.

SONY DSCBASF Seminar on “Brilliant Solutions for Exhaust Process” was held in March 28, 2011 at Bangabondhu International Conference Centre, Dhaka. BASF’s Global Manager, Mr. Klaus Tiedemann focused on BASF’s contribution for Consumer Safety, Resource Saving & Climate Protection. Mr. Gary Wilkins, Business Development Manager of East Asia focused on BASF’s innovative pretreatment and soaping process where he showed significant water and energy savings. By using the newly developed soaping agent, Dekol RSA, the soaping can now be carried out at 80â—¦c due to its unique washing off characteristics which leads to reductions in consumption of processing time and overall process cost.

Mr. Saria Sadique, MD & Chairman, BASF Bangladesh Ltd. inaugurated the seminar by updating BASF’s strong global business position in 2010, and BASF’s commitment to the RMG sector in Bangladesh.

Honorable Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Textiles, Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar was the chief guest on the occasion & at his speech he reiterate the significance of textile business contribute to country GDP & BASF’s continued support in innovation, technology & chemical support in this growing sector.

Mr. Mir Azharul Islam, Marketing Director, BASF Bangladesh Ltd. chaired the session.
