BGMEA welcomes BAYLA members to secure sustainable garments industry

President Faruque Hassan warmly welcomed the ‘leaders of tomorrow’ – BAYLA in a meeting invitation organized by BGMEA on Monday. The young and enthusiastic RMG entrepreneurs gathered at the BGMEA complex to share their aspirations and ideas on how to secure a brighter and more sustainable future for the garment industry. Abrar Hossain Sayem, President, BAYLA responded to the invitation along with his Board of Directors and Members.

In the meeting, Faruque Hassan gave a brief overview of the RMG industry and BGMEA’s vision, activities and priorities, particularly product diversification, innovation, technological upgradation and skill development to take the industry to a new high. He called young and vibrant entrepreneurs to come up with innovative ideas and share them with industry peers to take the industry forward sustainably.

The President also urged future leaders to keep pace with changing business dynamics and adapt accordingly to remain competitive. He invited them to promote and spontaneously participate in Made in Bangladesh Week organized by BGMEA in partnership with Bangladesh Apparel Exchange from 12-18 November 2022 in ICCB, Dhaka.

Abrar Hossain Sayem said, “Bangladesh youth leaders are optimistic and active about the innovation perspective”. He expressed great interest in working with BGMEA in the upcoming Made in Bangladesh Week, playing an active role while focusing on future partnership scope. Scope of collaboration to work together on Innovation Centers to strengthen its capacity were also discussed in the meeting.

BGMEA Vice President Shahidullah Azim, Directors Tanvir Ahmed, Abdullah Hil Rakib, Neela Hosna Ara, and Ms. Nadia Samdani MBE, Co-Founder and President of the Samdani Art Foundation were also present at the program.
