The Ministry of Migrant Welfare and Foreign Employment awarded CIP (NRB) to Md. Akhter Hossain Apurbo, Vice President of BKMEA on ‘International Migrants Day-2022.’ With this, he was elected CIP (NRB) for three consecutive times.
Md. Akhter Hossain Apurbo is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors 2021-23 of BKMEA.
He originally founded Wisdom Apparels Ltd. Director and Proprietor of Bunbox Apparels. However, his company Four Square Resources SDN BHD is working to expand the knitwear market of Bangladesh in Malaysia. And working to create a new market for Bangladesh’s textile products.
Apart from Malaysia, Md. Akhter Hossain Apurbo is also working to create new markets for Bangladeshi net products in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Philippines and European markets.
In addition to business, he is serving as the president of the social organization Pencil Foundation. Md. Akhter Hossain Apurbo is also serving as the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Research and Development of BKMEA in addition to serving as the Vice President of BKMEA.
On 18 December 2022, Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Minister Imran Ahmed, MP attended as the Chief Guest and distributed the award and certificate in Dhaka.
Anisul Islam Mahmud, MP, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Ministry, was present as a special guest in the event.
The event was presided over by Ahmed Munirus Saleheen, Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment. Senior officials and representatives of various public-private and international organizations were present on the occasion.
