BTEC Alumni Association starts its journey

The much-awaited Alumni Association of the students of Bangabandhu Textile Engineering College (BTEC), Tangail has started its journey.

On 18 November at Twenty-Twenty restaurant in Dhaka, a proposed convening committee with 28 members has been formed comprising representatives of each batch where Md. Abdul Haque Akanda (Apel), Fabric Manager of Otto International (HK) Ltd. of 1st batch is the convener and Md. Shah Kamal Sujon, Inspector of SGS Bangladesh Ltd of 6th batch is the member secretary.

At the beginning of the program, all the junior students greeted the seniors warmly. Around 60 ex-students joined the program where they made a detailed discussion on Alumni association activities and Md. Nazmul Huda, Team Leader (Marketing & Merchandising, Kaiser Account) of Energypac Fashions Ltd hosted it.

Among other Md. Shofiul Alam, Managing Director of Optimize Color Effect Ltd; Saiful Belu, Factory Manager (Washing Unit) of Apparel Art Ltd. (TNZ Group); Akmal Hosen Quality Controller of H&M; Md. Rafiqul Islam, Managing Director of Global Trade Corporation Ltd; Md. Riazul Hoque, Quality Control Manager of Maksons Spinning Mills Ltd.; Mithun Kumar Daw, IE Manager of Hop Lun Intimate Bangladesh Ltd; Bakirul Islam, Merchandiser of Experience Group; Md. Maidul Islam, Sr. Executive of Marketing of Dysin-Chem Ltd; Awalin Ahsan Ashik, Responsible of Laboratory & Chemical Compliance of IDKids; Shahariar Khokon, Assistant Manager (R&D) of Rahim Textile Mills Ltd (New Asia Group); Abdullah Al Noman, Head of IE of Fakir Apparels Ltd; Habibur Rahman, Dyeing Manager, Lithe Group and more senior were present.

The organizers said the term period of this proposed convening committee is 90 working days, later it will be formed as a full active committee.
The main objective of the association is to establish a strong network and brotherhood between the alumni and current students, and carry out academic activities in the field of various cultures.

The speakers said, “BTEC has started its journey in the year of 2007. Already, eight batches have completed their B.Sc. Engineering degree and four batches are running. To bring Btecians under one umbrella, an alumnus was a crying need for us and finally, it is being formed for the first time since the campus establishment.”

Apart from all, it was a great day for all the ex-students of BTEC. There was a great gathering of all senior and juniors of BTEC. Everyone exchanged greetings to each other, shared golden memories, pictures were captured.
