Bangabandhu Textile Engineering College (BTEC), organized an online seminar on ‘Higher Study on Textiles’ (via Zoom) on 27th February 2022.
Md. Kabir Hossain Patwary, Assistant Professor (Electrical) of this College, presided over the seminar. Elias Khalil, Lecturer (Technical) of this College conducted the seminar.

Md. Kabir Hossain Patwary, Assistant Professor (Electrical), president of the seminar thanked all those present and officially inaugurated the seminar. In his speech, he briefly discussed the opportunities and possibilities of higher education abroad in the field of textile engineering. Then began the part of the main discussion on ‘Higher Study on Textiles.’
The keynote speaker, Engr. Faisal Abedin, Assistant Professor of the Department of Fabric Engineering, BUTex discussed- what are the skills to be acquired for higher education abroad in the field of textiles, how the results are required, what are the opportunities to get higher education from Bangladesh by studying textiles, what will be the cost, how to communicate with professor’s, what documents need to be prepared, whether it is possible to get a part-time job besides studying, etc. based on his long experience and knowledge.
The webinar, which lasted for two and a half hours, was attended by about two hundred students along with respected teachers. In the concluding part of the seminar, the students were given the right direction on various unknown issues by organizing a question-and-answer session.
Located in Kalihati upazila of Tangail district, is a reputed textile educational institute. This is the only college where, after completing a diploma in textile, students get an opportunity to pursue a B.Sc. in Textile Engineering degree in affiliate with Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTex).
