BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) has joined a new alliance of textile education. The new education alliance was formed during the 60th-anniversary celebration of China’s Wuhan Textile University on October 18.

Eight Chinese universities and 12 universities from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Cambodia, and Ghana became its founder members of the world alliance.
Muzaffar U Siddique, Founder Chairman of the Board of Trustees, BUFT and Professor Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, BUFT attended the Belt and Road Textile Higher Education Forum on the special invitation of President, Wuhan Textile University, China.
They were also accorded a gala reception by former students of BUFT who are now studying at WTU, China, said the release.
Muzaffar U Siddique signed the alliance agreement on behalf of BUFT and spoke on the importance and role in the textile education alliance. Both had a fruitful meeting with the Secretary and President, WTU, China and other participating university representatives for extension of the areas of collaboration and steps its role to play in the development of textile higher education in the members’ universities.
