BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) has gone for education and research collaborations with two Australian universities namely Deakin University and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University. In an intention to start joint research by student and faculty interchange on the area where BUFT has similarities with the two Australian universities bi-lateral Memorandum of Articles have been signed recently.
A high level delegation of (BUFT) led by Muzaffar U Siddique, the founder Chairman of BUFT, visited Deakin University and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University of Australia recently. During the visit, two separate MoUs were signed with two Australian counterparts. Pro Vice Chancellor of Industry Development of Deakin University Prof Guy Little-fair signed the MoU with BUFT. On the other hand, in the MoU with RMIT University, their Deputy Vice Chancellor Global Development & Vice President Prof Andrew Maclnt-yre signed the MoU.
BUFT board of trustees Tipu Munshi, MP, Md Shafiul Islam, First Vice President, FBCCI, Md Siddiqur Rahman, Presi-dent of BGMEA, Faruque Hassan, Senior Vice President of BGMEA, SM Mannan, Vice President of BGMEA, Mohammed Nasir, Vice President (Finance), BGMEA, Reaz-Bin-Mahmood, Former Vice President (Finance) of BGMEA and Prof Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of BUFT were present at the MoU signing ceremony. There was a formal meeting session where BUFT team discussed their role in promoting RMG and fashion & textile education in Bangladesh. They also discussed various issues related to fashion research in Australia.
