Pakistani denim supplier Crescent Bahuman Ltd. (CBL) has opened Blue Infinity, with a new “low-impact” process for dyeing denim warps without indigo.

According to the company, the technology will not only allow it to produce new shades, but also “become an active agent of positive change within the supply chain” due to its eco-friendlier use of water, energy and chemicals.
Besides all chemicals used have been Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified and meet CBL’s Restricted Substances List (RSL) requirements.
Moreover, wash downs can be performed by mechanical, chemical or laser systems and combinations.
Blue Infinity will officially launch by appointment only at the upcoming Kingpins Show in Amsterdam.
Zaki Saleemi, Vice president of strategy said, “The ability of this technology is tremendous, especially because it creates infinite shades of blue while reducing environmental stress. Crescent Bahuman has had to think, work and execute this technology in a totally unconventional manner compared with traditional manufacturing processes.”
