CRN launched to integrate the sustainability movement

“Corporate Social Responsibilities should come from the heart,” said Reaz Uddin Al-Mamoon, President, Corporate Responsibility Network-CRN and Managing Director of Epyllion Group in his encouraging speech on the soft launching ceremony of CRN on 23 November 2018 at Lakeshore Hotel Gulshan.

Atiur Rahman, the 10th Governor of Bangladesh Bank graced the evening as chief guest. This is the beginning of the Network to establish a knowledge hub, which will shape the landscape for organizations to integrate the sustainability movement into their processes. Naquib Khan, Vice President, CRN and Corporate Affairs Director at Nestle Bangladesh Limited along with representatives from the founder members actively participated the event and shared their thoughts, good CSR practices, desires, and prospects of this forum in future to support Sustainable Development Goals.

The soft launching musical evening revived all the guests while the awareness act on global climate was performed by the students of Dhaka University.

Reaz Uddin Al-Mamoon said at the launching ceremony, “We are together with the objectives for CRN- firstly, support the government in developing a National Council for Corporate Responsibility, contribute to the drafting of the National Guideline on CSR, and ensure coherence between CSR goals and government policies. Secondly, promote the adoption of CSR practices among businesses, establish a standard for their initiatives, and thirdly support companies engaging in CSR activities.”
