CTEC Career Club organizes ‘Stories behind becoming entrepreneurs’ webinar

At the initiative of CTEC Career Club – a career consulting platform of Textile Engineering College, Zorargonj, Chattogram – organized a webinar titled ‘Stories behind Becoming Entrepreneurs’ took place on 11th February 2022 where Textile Today was the Media Partner.

Engr. Md. Ali Azam Rokon, the Principal of Textile Engineering College, Zorarganj, Chattogram (CTEC) inaugurated the said webinar. Engr. Md. Ismail Molla, the former principal of the college and one of the veteran engineers in the textile sector was present as Special Guest.

Md. Alamgir Hossain, the owner of apparel exporting organization A&A Sourcing and President of the alumni association of the college ‘CTECAA’ was present as the keynote speaker. Najim Uddin, the President of CTEC Career Club, hosted the event.

The following entrepreneurs, Ahsan Ullah Rokib (proprietor of Dishan Label & Printing); Masum Rana (proprietor of Denim Folks Ltd.); Md. Ali Nawas Atal (proprietor of Adri Knitwear Ltd.); Md. Nazmul Hasan Shanto (owner of Halal Shop, SMS); Sayan Kumar Dhar (proprietor of Wedding Clickerz); Foyej Ahmed Reza (proprietor of Crimson) and many more were invited to the event. All of them are former students of the institute.

The guests narrated all the wonderful stories of moving forward with personal dreams as an entrepreneur to the audiences.

Club President Najim Uddin said, “We organized this event to stimulate the students who want to establish themselves as young entrepreneurs to follow their dreams and take initiatives to establish them into reality, in addition to meeting the shortages of employment in the country”

He showed a documentary on the alumni and current students of the college who are working with their bands/organizations.

The speakers at the webinar willingly provided instructional advice and experiences from their struggles to the eager audiences to help them nurture themselves as young entrepreneurs.

The speakers further added, “It is possible to establish oneself as a successful entrepreneur with time only by working with personal skill development, efficiency, honesty, patience and dedication.”

Engr. Sayful Islam, Engr. Abu Sayed, Engr. Tarikul Islam, Engr. Abdullah Al Mamun among the teachers of the college was present at the said event.

The three-and-a-half-hour-long webinar concluded with concluding remarks by Abdullah-Hil Kafi, a former student of the college and Head of Fabrics Department of Palmal Group.
