Decathlon, the French retailer of sporting goods, has opened its showroom in Bangladesh for the first time at Uttara, Dhaka. The store will be launched officially very soon. Now it has a presence in 49 countries including Bangladesh and it is dominating as one of the largest sports goods retailer in the world.
Initially, they have football, cricket, basketball, table tennis, daily work out, cycling, and running, etc. kit for Bangladeshi customers. They have arranged their products according to the attraction of individual sports items. Different items are kept in their store to make the attraction of people who are interested in indoor and outdoor games. They also have innovative products to play a role in physical exercise.
Decathlon stores provide in demoing facilities to ensure customers to get most out of their investments and enjoy an enhanced experience by offering maintenance, repair and customization services.
Bangladesh is a sports lover country. So, the sports goods retailer hopes they will go a long way in the future with their probability of best customization services.
The company also intends to expand its online presence to get feedback from the Bangladeshi people. Their intention has also to make a retailing platform if they get permission from the Bangladeshi government to start their open market platform.

The first Decathlon store opened in Lille, France in 1976 and began designing and manufacturing its own products after 10 years later. Now it has created over 25 brands and continues to expand worldwide as the leading sports store.
