Dekko Group takes a new turn and emerges as DEKKO ISHO venturing into consumer brands in fashion-retail, furniture, lifestyle-products, restaurants. Being one of the leading textile and apparel manufacturing company Dekko ISHO Group, signed a monetary and strategic capital investment agreement with Eco Via, a bioplastic initiative with its own innovation in compostable polymer. It produces biodegradable polymer packaging from cotton fabric waste, which is generated in abundance and sold at a very cheap rate from the RMG industries of Bangladesh.
The signing ceremony took place in Dekko ISHO’s corporate office in Dhaka. In the signing ceremony Dekko ISHO group’s Director Prottoy Hossain, and Eco Via’s co-founders Rashik Hassan, Riasat Zaman, and Ashfaqul Azam were present.
“We believe Eco Via will play a big role in ensuring global environmental sustainability and we are proud to be a part of their future endeavors,” said Prottoy Hossain.
Rashik Hassan, CEO and co-founder, Eco Via, said that main vision of Eco Via is to tackle the climate crisis happening due to irresponsible consumerism, by bringing eco-friendly alternatives to single use plastics.
Eco Via is producing eco-friendly apparel packaging out of apparel wastes, which only biodegrades within 150 days after disposal, added Rashik Hassan.
