Denims The New Face of Indian Textile & Apparel Industry

Enough to wrap around the equator nearly six times over! That’s the volume of denim, Ahmedabad – the prime city of Gujarat (India) churns out each year to supply to leading global brands like Levi’s, Lee, Wrangler, GAP Ralph Lauren and many more. You name it and their jeans are made from fabric made in this ‘Denim City’.

Under the Chairmanship of Dr. PR Roy,  a two-day prestigious conference on Denims is scheduled to be held at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) on  29th & 30th of October 2010; in consortium  with Textile Association (India), Ahmedabad unit and Fibre2Fashion – world’s leading textile & apparel portal.

Raring to go global, the Indian denim industry too is on the growth curve.
