Envoy Textiles Limited has received the ‘National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award-2020’, securing the first position under the category of ‘Large Industries: Textile & RMG.’
Engr. Kutubuddin Ahmed, Chairman, Envoy Textiles Limited received the award at a grand ceremony at a hotel in Dhaka. While Tanvir Ahmed, Managing Director, Envoy Legacy Group and Director of BGMEA was also present.

On 29 May, the National Productivity Organization (NPO) of the Ministry of Industries organized the event.
Where, Minister of Ministry of Industries, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, MP was present as the chief guest and State Minister of Ministry of Industries, Kamal Ahmed Majumder, MP attended the event as special guest. While, Industries Secretary Zakia Sultana, and Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI) Vice-President Mostafa Azad Chowdhury Babu were present at the event.
Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun said, “We are moving in that direction. We have a comprehensive plan to increase productivity in the industrial sector. We have also included guidelines in the five-year plan for increasing industrial productivity.”
“Bangladesh is working hard for economic development through rapid industrialization and the creation of more jobs. As the country’s economy is dependent on agriculture, agro-based industries are being prioritized,” he added.
This is consecutively the second time Envoy Textiles Limited has been honored with this award.
Some 26 companies have received the ‘National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award-2020’ for their noteworthy contributions to the industrial area through maintaining higher productivity and quality of products.
