GIZ and Ministry of Commerce to unveil National Chemical Guideline draft

GIZ and the Ministry of Commerce will publish the draft of ‘National Chemical Guideline for Textile and Garment Industry in Bangladesh.’ In this regard, a grand workshop will be held on 2 January 2022 from 10:15 am to 12:30 pm in the Padma Hall of Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon to review the draft guidelines and receive and discuss final recommendations/opinions of all the related stakeholders.

This chemical guideline will ensure the use of chemicals in export-oriented textile and readymade garment (RMG) factories in compliance with national and international standards.

Md. Hafizur Rahman, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce will be present as the Chief Guest at the workshop.

As special guests, Asif Ashraf, Director, BGMEA; Mohammad Hatem, Executive President, BKMEA; Werner Lange, Coordinator of Textile Cluster-GIZ; Md. Hafizur Rahman, Additional Secretary, Export; Kamrunnaher, Joint Secretary (MoC) will give speech in the workshop.
