GOTS Bangladesh seminar 2019

With the theme ‘Connecting for Success’, GOTS is hosting the `GOTS Bangladesh Seminar 2019` (GBDS19) on 8th September 2019, at the International Convention City Bashundhra (ICCB) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This one-day seminar will address the pressing issues relevant to the organic textile industry.

Key players from the organic textile industry will come together. 250-300 senior colleagues from up to 150 different industry organizations and businesses are expected to attend the seminar.

Delegates will have the chance to learn about best practices and know-how related to the biggest opportunities – and challenges – to help transform their supply chains. The seminar serves as great platform to connect with supply chain partners and relevant service providers for sustainable textile business.

The seminar consists of four sessions:

  1. Sustainable Retail: Recent trends, priorities, and experience of conscious buyers.
  2. GOTS Technical Criteria and its Implementation: Latest criteria and experiences from implementation partners for technical aspects of the standard.
  3. Connecting on the Job – Workers and Management: Exploring working conditions at garment (and other) factories in Bangladesh, connecting workers and factory owners to discuss relevant social compliance issues.
  4. Connecting Supply Chain Partners: Connecting key supply chain partners including garmenting, wet processing, testing, certifiers, and chemical suppliers.
