Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has allowed business owners to reopen all export-oriented factories from 1 August.

The cabinet division issued a notification today stating that all export-oriented factories will remain out of the purview of the prevailing Covid-19 restrictions from Sunday.
The development came as the business leaders kept asking the government for permission to operate factories as the government announced a 14-day strict lockdown from 23 July.
The leaders of BGMEA, BKMEA, and FBCCI thanked the Prime Minister and all concerned for the permission.
Bangladesh went into a 14-day strict lockdown till 5 August to curb the runaway Covid infections across the country.
