Labor and Employment Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan said, "We will start a pension scheme for the social security of the garment workers. So that they do not have to live a miserable life later.”

He said this at the inauguration of the TCB product distribution program at fair price among the garment workers on the premises of a garment factory in Tongi on Wednesday (October 16) afternoon. At the same time, he called upon the owners and workers in order not to disrupt the production in the garment sector.
He said, "The workers have no pension. So I have a dream, to introduce a pension scheme for garment workers like other professionals. I am expecting hundred percent cooperation from the factory owners in this regard. This can only be done if the owners come forward."
After accepting the 18 points of the garment workers, this is the first time the government has started distribution of TCB products at a fair price. Garment workers were given 5 kg of rice, 2 kg of pulses and 2 liters of soybean oil for 470 taka.

Already instructions have been given from the Ministry of Home Affairs if any owner does wrong then action will be taken against them.
