Huawei is transforming Bangladesh’s energy sector with clean power and enabling energy digitalization to drive energy revolution for a better, greener future for Bangladesh – different industry leaders opined this in ‘Huawei Bangladesh Digital Power Event 2022’ grand event organized by Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd. on 28 December, 2022 event at Huawei Bangladesh Academy.

With the theme ‘Together for a Green Bangladesh, Let the Sun Pay Your Bills’ – to promote zero carbon in Bangladesh’s energy sector – the mega event assembled cross-industry leaders and especially from the textile and apparel industry – where Asif Ashraf Director, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) was Chief Guest.
Asif Ashraf said in his speech, “We all know BGMEA has a lot of commitments towards the green inversion of RMG factories of Bangladesh. Being the second largest manufacturer there is a lot of pressure to maintain different things. And Huawei has been playing a vital role in terms of empowering energy digitalization to transform the energy revolution for a better, greener future for Bangladesh.”

“BGMEA and Huawei Technologies are working together to address the current electricity demand through green solutions (solar power) and move Bangladesh forward on its greening path,” BGMEA Director added.
He also urged the industry people to invest in solar power to reduce pressure on the national power grid. He profusely thanked Huawei for providing efficient technologies for the country’s readymade garments (RMG) and textile factories of Bangladesh for many years.
He shared the impressive achievements of Bangladesh’s RMG industry, especially in the area of environmental sustainability along with ongoing efforts and initiatives to pursue growth in a sustainable manner.
He also highlighted how Bangladeshi garment factories are increasingly integrating energy-efficient technologies and clean energy like solar panels and taking environment-friendly initiatives to make the industry cleaner and greener.
World’s leading ICT infrastructure provider – Huawei Technologies is fully committed to integrating digital and power electronics technologies, developing clean power and enabling energy digitalization to drive an energy revolution for a better, greener future for Bangladesh. Huawei Technologies has been working in Bangladesh for the last 24 years and bringing innovative and cost-effective solar panels to garment factories at affordable prices.
Huawei Fusion Solar is providing new generation string inverters with smart management technology to create a fully digitalized Smart PV Solution.

Liang Weixing (Jack), Managing Director, Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited said, “Huawei works in Bangladesh for Bangladesh. Compared to other market shares globally, Huawei’s smart PV market share is 22% which is number one in the world. Huawei’s new generation string inverters relies on the advantages of Huawei overseas service platform, to guarantee high-quality after-sell service.”
“For the Bangladesh market, in terms of renewable energy, solar and wind power have the most potential. Also, solar energy has a very bright prospect in Bangladesh. Our solutions make any PV power plant run more efficiently and through better intelligence, in addition, easy maintenance makes Huawei utility-scale PV power generation the best choice for Bangladesh.”
At the event leading groups such as East Coast Group, Fortis Group and Omera Group shared their experiences with Huawei Technologies rooftop solar solutions.

Masud CEO of East Coast Group shared their success story with Huawei. He said, “When we move to the Huawei inverter, whenever we see any trouble our engineering team calls Huawei and within 48 hours their engineering team goes to the site for inspection. Whereas other companies’ inverters need almost one month to give feedback. From the developer’s point of view, we got very good support and after-sell service from Huawei.”
“Nowadays, the government also encourages the rooftop solar system. So, we can think that this is the right time to put your investment in rooftop solar – which will be very worth considering the energy situation is globally a questionable thing,” he added.
Its customers shared that; Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd. has a big digital power team to ensure top-notch service 24/7.
At the event, a Huawei team briefly presented Huawei’s new PV inverter and its facilities.

Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd. launched the flagship inverter Sun2000-50KTL-M3 in the Bangladesh market. In addition, Huawei Bangladesh presented its products and technologies for the IPP, Commercial and Industrial rooftop solar, residential rooftop solar and energy storage systems (ESS).
Also, Huawei showcased their completed solar PV projects including 50 MW – Mymensingh, 10 MW – Panchagarh, 30 MW – Rangpur, 2.8 MW – Savar, 2.7 MW – Faridpur and 3.7 MW – Manikganj in various textile and apparel factories.
