Hult Prize is a start-up accelerator for budding young social entrepreneurs emerging from the world’s universities and it is transforming how young people envision their own possibilities as leaders of change in the world around them.
In this competition, youths are provided with impact-focused programs, events, training and a $1 million global startup prize to help the winning teams to launch a social enterprise.
In solidarity with Hult’s vision around the World, Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) has been organizing ‘HULT Prize On-campus BUTEX’ since 2018. Successfully upholding the reputation of the HULT prize, hosting three on-campus programs, with the participation of more than 100 teams in each.
The competition is judged by the admirable corporates and scholars and conducts enriching sessions with distinguished global personalities. This year, the Hult Prize at BUTEX 2022, will be its fourth term.
This year’s Hult Prize mission is to create employment opportunities for 2000 people by 2024. For easing the hardship of the participants, BUTEX has organized 4 sessions in a row for guiding the participants and helping them to generate an effective business plan.
The very first session was held on 9 February 2022 titled ‘Break the Challenge’. The guest was MD Fahim Hossain, Regional Associate of Hult Prize Foundation. He officially introduced this year’s case to the participants along with the insights about the Hult Prize in general.
The second session was held on 25 February 2022 titled ‘How to Produce an Effective Business Idea’. The guest was Estanul Kabir, Program Manager of Wadhwani Foundation. He assisted the contestant to uncover the secrets about producing an effective idea.
The third session was held on 26 February 2022. This session was titled ‘Summary Writing and Idea Generation’.
The fourth and the last session took place on 27 February 2022 named ‘Design Thinking’.
These four sessions enlightened the participants and gave them hope to do something completely incredible.
The submission of the summary was closed on March 4, 2022. 44 teams have participated and submitted their ideas. Among them, 12 teams are selected for the finals. The expected date of the final On-Campus round will be on March 25, 2022. This year Hult Prize at BUTEX has partnered with The Financial Express, Business Standard, Textile Today, Bunon and Somoy TV for the event.
They are hoping to make this event a success in order to give the textile sectors pioneering global leaders in entrepreneurial and socio-economic development for the 21st century.
