Int’l expo on infrastructure, innovation & development begins Thursday

Three-day infrastructure, innovation & development expo & dialogue 2019 began on Thursday in the capital with an aim to emphasize on ’Green and sustainable products, services & solutions.

In the exhibition local and international organizations are showcasing product for infrastructure and green building construction, renewable energy, energy efficiency & conservation, environment protection, green financing and safety together.

Trade event organizer ExpoNet Exhibition Ltd is organizing the expo and dialogue event in collaboration with the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA) and the Power Cell under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.

The dialogue event GARKNITEX DIALOGUE-2019, under title topic ‘Sustainable Industry for Green Textile: Prospects and Obstacles’ was held where speakers exchanged their knowledge and views on sustainability and its prospects. Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi was the key speaker.

Bangladesh’s RMG and textile sector, has taken the lead in environment-friendly, ‘green’ manufacturing as it has established 67 eco-friendly green buildings, the highest number in the world. Aiming to cut back on carbon emission, the green factories in Bangladesh have been set up with eco-friendly technology and are using energy-saving machinery, harvesting rainwater, and using solar panels and servo motor for power generation.

To encourage all industries to establish eco-friendly factories GARKNITEX INNOVATION would cover business networking, policy framing, knowledge sharing and technology display annually but it has series International networking access round the year. Technology interaction, business negotiation and knowledge networking are the key focusing area of the expo and dialogue.

The expo will remain open for the visitors from 9.30 am to 7.30pm up to 20 July 2019 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre-BICC, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
