The Institution of Textile Engineers and Technologists (ITET), Bangladesh arranged a memorial meeting and dua mahfil for all the passed-away members of ITET during the COVID pandemic on 3 December at BUTEX auditorium in Dhaka.

Engr. Salim Reza, Sr.Vice President, ITET presided over the meeting. ITET former President, Engr. Mozzafar Hossain MP; Engr Masudur Rahman, President IEB Textile Division; ITET Secretary-General, Talukder Shakhawat; Vice President, Engr. Shakhawat Hossain; Engr Touhidul Islam Kakon, ITET central members were present at the Dua mahfil. After paying their respects, everyone took part in prayers for the salvation of the souls of martyrs.
Md. Shakhawat Hossain hosted the program. and guest of honor Engr. Mozzafar Hossain MP in his speech remembered the first generation textile leaders and highlighted the strong interbond among the textile community.
Mozzafar Hossain urges the young BUTEX students to maintain the bond to keep the textile industry moving forward.
Hossain said, “Remember the struggle our first generation did to achieve the success of today. They have gone out of their comfort zone to accomplish this state of the RMG industry. May Allah grant them paradise to our passed-away members.”
ITET is the oldest and most influential textile professionals’ organization in Bangladesh having more than 3000 members working in many pivotal positions in the textile sector and it is leading the industry towards continuous growth.
