Khantex Composite Textiles Limited – a concern of Khantex – is under construction with a massive investment of $38.80 million.
The installation aims to be a US Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED Platinum Green vertical set up with all kinds of value additions including state-of-the-art dyeing and washing plant as one-stop solutions.
Khantex Composite Textiles Limited will incorporate state-of-the-art green initiatives like rainwater harvesting, daylight saving and rooftop solar panel, energy-efficient machinery, top-notch safe working condition, water-saving machinery, and a chemical treatment plant to ensure sustainability.
Humayun Kabir Salim, Managing Director, Khantex said to Textile Today, “Khantex Composite Textiles Limited will be one of the topmost LEED Platinum Green vertical setup in the country. And it will be an example for the textile and apparel industry.”
Salim elaborated that the new facility will produce high-end apparel like cotton-polyester blend, digital printing, all-over printing, etc. to grab the high-priced product segment.
“Diversifying is the key tool in the RMG manufacturing business. There is no scope for us to be content with some specific brands and a certain type of product. RMG product diversification, as well as market diversification, is key in today’s fashion,” Humayun Kabir Salim added.
USGBC’s LEED version 4.1 acts as an outstanding international rating system that prizes best practices and innovations and certifies buildings with different levels of LEED certification.
Khantex’s other concern, Khantex Fashion Ltd. is also a LEED-certified green factory.
At the same time, Khantex sets a world-class design studio for the innovation of products to reach the new marketplace as well as to grab more orders from the existing customers. From sketching to final design, is produced in-house unique design.
