For the first time, the Merchandisers Association of Primeasia (MAP) introduced ‘Learning and Development Program 2019’ for running students on 27th January 2019 at Primeasia University IQAC Conference Hall. Md. Moynul Hassan Shibly, Lecturer, Dept. of Textile Engineering, Primeasia University hosted the program.
The main aspects of this association are to gather those alumni’s of Primeasia University and involve in merchandising and also who are eager to enter in merchandising field.
The chief guest of this program was Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of Primeasia University where Prof. Dr. M.A. Khaleq, Head, Dept. of Textile Engineering; A.K.M Ashraful Haque, Treasurer; Abul Kashem Molla, Register; Prof. Dr. Md. Hasanuzzaman, Dean, School of Engineering Primeasia University were present.
This initiative will be very much helpful for the future graduates and this will create strong connectivity among all the Primeasians.
Two special guests Khaled Hosen, HR Manager and Tasmia Islam, HR officer of KIABI International Supply Services Ltd were present along with several members of MAP including all the faculty members of Primeasia University.
The members of MAP discussed numerous topics which are essential for freshers in the job field. One of the speakers discussed briefly how to develop a resume saying “resume creates the first impression of somebody.”
Interview techniques, basic merchandising, teamwork and leadership skills, how to survive in job field individually-these issues were also discussed.
KIABI, a successful retail company offered job and internship opportunity for future graduates at the program.
The chief guest of the program and the VC, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury appreciated the initiative taken by MAP. He proposed to arrange this type of program regularly and he assured that Primeasia University will always be with them in such programs.
Also giving thanks to the MAP for organizing such program Prof. Dr. M.A. Khaleq, Head, Dept. of Textile Engineering said, “This initiative will be very much helpful for the future graduates and this will create strong connectivity among all the Primeasians.”
Merchandisers Association of Primeasia decided to conduct this type of knowledge sharing program in every semester as this type of program will boost up the confidence of the students and get pluck to meet the challenges in the job field.
