Miran Ali joins 36th IAF World Fashion Convention as speaker

Miran Ali, Managing Director of Bitopi Group and Vice President of BGMEA joins the 36th IAF World Fashion Convention as a speaker.

The 36th IAF World Fashion Convention, which starts today (November 8, 2021) at the Antwerp Hilton Old Town in Belgium, is themed ‘Transition of the Global Fashion System,’ and will focus on the viewpoint of partnership in the global supply chain.

Besides Miran Ali, the event will feature famous speakers including Guy Ryder, the Director-General of the ILO; David Sävman, Head of Global Supply Chain of H&M and Mehmet Kaya, CEO of TYH.

Miran Ali is a leading apparel entrepreneur in Bangladesh for the last 22 years. He leads Bitopi Group, as Managing Director. Two of his factories are rated LEED Platinum, Remi Holdings Ltd. And Tarasima Apparels Ltd. of which, the former scoring 97 points, is the highest-rated Green readymade garment factory in the world.

He is a Director at BGMEA and the Honorary Consul of Slovak republic in Bangladesh. Being a leading businessman himself, he has been involved as being a speaker and special guest on varied occasions to play a role in Sustainable Environment-Friendly Workplace.

Miran Ali’s passion for corporate social responsibility, environmental welfare motivated him to green practices in his workplaces.

Ali’s philosophy sets a model milestone for Bangladesh and validates that business and environment co-exist and emphasizes sustainability as one of the crucial factors for any business to succeed.

He is also involved in diversified activities related to the RMG business. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University, Ali also earned an MBA from the University of Bristol.

IAF World Fashion Convention’s theme will be highlighted through the viewpoint of collaboration in the global supply chain. And other sessions of the event will focus new business models, digitalization, supply chain resilience and transparency.

Highlighting the requirements of buyers and their suppliers working together to create the transition the apparel industry needs.

The arrangement of the Convention’s delegates from across the world – spanning from supply chain with a strong representation of (SME), brands, manufacturers.

Convention’s core message is buying brands, retailers and supplying manufacturers rely on each other equally to create supply chains that are resilient enough to withstand the rough ride of the apparel industry’s transition.
