Moyeen and Hadi become Black Belt professional accomplishing transformation projects on Lean and IE

Textile Today’s STB program facilitates young professionals in innovation projects helping the transformation of the sector

F.M. Julfikar Moyeen, IE Executive, Tamishna Group and Md. Abdullah Al-Hadi, Sr. Executive (Acting as a Manager), QA Group have achieved Setting Transformation Black Belt in Application of Lean and Industrial Engineering.

Project Leader Md. Eousup Novee, GM-HR & Strategy, Textile Today handed over the certificate to F.M. Julfikar Moyeen and Md. Abdullah Al-Hadi at the Textile Today premises. Sanjoy Kumar Saha, Sr. Manager, Industry Engagement & Sub Editor, Textile Today and Amzad Hossain Monir, Head of Business Development, Textile Today were also present at the ceremony.

Md. Eousup Novee said, “Both of them were focused and determined throughout the whole journey. If they can leverage the knowledge and support gained from working with Textile Today, They will be greatly benefited in their career.”

Sanjoy Kumar Saha mentioned, “It is just the beginning of a long way of learning and practicing knowledge. Textile Today will always be on their side in the journey.”

Hadi’s Project was ‘Controlling Sewing Output DHU by Data Visualization and Root Cause Analysis’ and Moyeen worked on ‘Standardizing Operating Procedures of Sweater Manufacturing.’

As a part of STB Black Belt, both of them went through an intensive 128 hours of factory skill development training covering  Lean Manufacturing, Tools and  Techniques of Implementing Lean in Apparel Industry, Production Planning & Control, Total Quality Management, Apparel Supply Chain Management, Product Development, Garments Washing & Effects, and Denim Development & Manufacturing.

Hadi’s project concentrated on finding out major defects by Pareto chart, cause and effect diagram to find out root causes responsible for those defects and then make monthly corrective action plan to achieve the planned DHU.

Moyeen worked on standardizing operating procedures by analyzing current procedures and brainstorming best-agreed methods starting from yarn store to packing.
